Paint enhancement vs. paint correction

Both improve gloss, but they solve different problems and should never be sold as the same process.

Enhancement prioritizes appearance

A paint enhancement uses a measured polishing step to improve gloss and clarity. It may reduce light haze and minor defects, but its purpose is not maximum defect removal.

Correction targets eligible defects

Paint correction begins with inspection and a test spot. The pad, polish and number of steps are selected according to paint behavior, defect depth and the amount of clear coat that can be preserved safely.

Percentages require a test spot

A responsible detailer cannot promise an exact removal percentage from a photo alone. Lighting, paint system and defect depth change what is safely achievable.

Protection comes after refinement

Once the finish is corrected or enhanced, it should be cleaned and protected with a system appropriate to the client’s maintenance plan.
